"We went to dinner at the restaurant, we live near Óbidos and do not use the hotel accommodations. The food in the restaurant is very good. The experience of the place is that it is more sophisticated, as if you were having dinner in a library. If you go to Óbidos, don't Miss it. I highly recommend it. Very picturesque."

About Us

At the beginning of the 19th century, more precisely in the 1930s, the prior of S. Pedro da Vila de Óbidos, António Gonçalves de Asseca, acquired Casas da Calçada next to Chafariz Novo, with the main objective of founding a nunnery. The work, financed by King D. Miguel, began the following year, with the chapel completed in 1833, with the invocation of Jesus, Mary and Joseph...
